Pedro Correa guest blog for Brambleton
Pedro Correa is Vice President of Verizon Enhanced Communities. He and his team are responsible for marketing and providing Verizon products and services to the owners, managers and residents of various multi-family developments, such as apartment buildings, condominiums and planned communities like Brambleton. This blog focuses on the recently launched Verizon Home Monitoring and Control service.
It’s a pleasure for the Verizon Enhanced Communities team to be a part of this Saturday’s 5th Annual Step Sisters’ 5K Ribbon Run/Walk kicking off at the Brambleton Town Center Plaza. It reinforces the feeling of community Verizon gets in working with the developers and residents of Brambleton; we like to think of ourselves as a part of that community.
Over the years residents of Brambleton have been among the first to get the newest FiOS Internet speeds, the coolest new FiOS TV channels and widgets and state-of-the-art technologies that perform best over the FiOS network. Verizon’s Home Monitoring and Control, has been available here in Brambleton since it was first introduced last fall. We have also recently entered into an arrangement with Brambleton, along with participating builders in the community, to build Home Monitoring and Control into new homes starting this quarter. (Offer applies to specific builders and lots. Check with Brambleton sales agents for availability.)
Home Monitoring and Control is all about giving members of the Brambleton community access to their homes’ energy systems and home environment regardless of where they are at any given moment.
Let’s say you’re driving to work and can’t remember whether you locked the front door or shut off a kitchen appliance. With Home Monitoring and Control, you can access your home systems on your PC or through an App on a compatible smartphone or your FiOS TV. Just click to lock a door or shut off a connected appliance. If you want to check on the dog, access a remote camera placed inside or outside your home with the same smartphone or computer.
We’ll be at a booth at Saturday’s event right outside of the Brambleton Welcome Center, with all the details on Home Monitoring and Control. Verizon representatives will be happy to answer any questions you may have about the service or how to get it and will have lots of trinkets and goodies on-hand as well.
But this is only one chapter of the FiOS borderless lifestyle story. Our goal is to allow our customers to access their broadband, TV and voice services with a connected smartphone, tablet, PC and, of course, access your services through your FiOS TV.
Not so far down the road you’ll be hearing about some new offers from Verizon, including enhancements to FiOS Internet and FiOS TV, as well as FiOS Digital Voice. Our technologists are working with some of the smartest people in the industry to make FiOS even better and keep us and our customers out in front of other providers and their customers.
The best of luck to all the participants in Saturday’s Run/Walk and thanks for letting us be a part of your community.
